The Office of Academic Programs (OAP) is responsible for the administration of the undergraduate curriculum at Harvard College. Specifically, OAP works with academic departments and individual faculty on curricular planning, pedagogy, course development, and the assignment of Teaching Fellows. The office also collaborates with academic departments and other offices in the College on the implementation of new programs initiated by the Faculty, such as secondary fields and PRISE (Program for Research in Science and Engineering). Finally, OAP oversees other offices that have important curricular and pedagogical responsibilities, including the Core Program, the Expository Writing Program, the Freshman Seminar Program, the Office of International Programs, and the Bok Center for Teaching and Learning.

The Office of Administration & Finance (OA&F) serves the College by providing oversight for the following areas: Budget & Accounting, College Operations, Facilities/Space Management, Finance, Gift Stewardship, Human Resources, Information Technology, Communications, and Strategic Planning. We are the College's liaison to FAS and Central Administration on financial and operational issues. As part of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences' Curricular Review, the Report of the Standing Committee on Advising and Counseling (issued in May 2005) recommended the establishment of an Advising Programs Office (APO), which began to take shape in February 2006. This office is charged with coordinating, managing, and monitoring academic advising programs for all undergraduates and, as such, works with students, department chairs and other faculty, resident deans, the Freshman Dean's Office, and other Harvard College and FAS offices on all aspects of pre-concentration and concentration advising.

The Office of Career Services (OCS) supports all students and alumni of Harvard College (as well as the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences) in exploring and making effective career and educational choices. OCS strives to enhance career imagination, investigation, and realization by providing services to students at all stages of academic and career development. OCS offers an extensive range of programs, resources, and counseling to assist with career decisions across a full range of potential career fields including public service, arts, entertainment, science and technology, education, government, law, communications, business, and medicine, including pre-medical advising. OCS assists students to explore and plan for a wide range of domestic and international opportunities, including internships, summer jobs, careers after graduation, graduate and professional study, and fellowships for undergraduate and post-graduate activities.
OCS actively collaborates with academic departments, regional and research centers, the Houses and the freshman residential communities, student organizations and other College and University administrative departments in support of the academic and professional development of Harvard students.

The Freshman Dean's Office is responsible for the well-being of students in their first year at the College. Staff members welcome the opportunity to discuss students' questions and concerns, academic or personal. The Dean of Freshmen works closely with three Resident Deans who have special responsibilities in academic and co-curricular affairs and who serve as academic and residential deans to students in three designated dormitory clusters: Crimson Yard (Grays, Greenough, Hurlbut, Pennypacker, and Wigglesworth Halls), Elm Yard (Canaday, Matthews, and Weld Halls), and Ivy Yard (Apley , Hollis, Holworthy, Lionel, Massachusetts, Mower, Stoughton, Straus, and Thayer Halls). The Freshman Dean's Office also coordinates new student Orientation and the Freshman Residential Education program (FRED), and oversees preorientation programs for incoming first-years.

In 1981, the President and Deans of Harvard University established the Harvard Foundation for Intercultural and Race Relations with the mandate to "improve relations among racial and ethnic groups within the University and to enhance the quality of our common life." In pursuit of this mission, the Foundation seeks to involve students of all racial and ethnic backgrounds in the ongoing enterprises of the University. The Foundation sponsors annual programs and activities that are designed to promote interracial and intercultural awareness and understanding in the Harvard community, as well as to highlight the cultural contributions of students from all backgrounds.

The Office of International Programs develops international programs and advises undergraduates on academic options abroad. We work with faculty and with staff in international centers to identify good educational matches for students considering their language abilities, academic focus, graduation requirements and regional interests. In recent years, we have sent hundreds of students from every concentration to study abroad programs and universities in over 35 countries during the semester and summer.

The Office of the Registrar for the Faculty of Arts and Sciences is dedicated to providing the best possible services to meet the needs of the Harvard College and Graduate School communities. The office is the steward of student records from the point of matriculation to the conferral of the degree. It offers a wide range of services to faculty, students, and members of the administration in the areas of academic records, student status, registration, course enrollment, publications, classroom assignments, and administration of final examinations. The office supports teaching and learning within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences by administering the various academic policies of the College and the Graduate School.

The Office of Residential Life supports Harvard College's residential college system which fosters holistic learning and personal development for 6,600 undergraduates. The Office of Residential Life includes the Freshman Dean's Office, the 12 residential Houses, the non-residential Dudley House, and housing operations. The Office exists to coordinate multiple relationships and integrate student services related to Dining, Physical Resources, Advising, Crisis Management, Discipline, Health Services, and Accessibility. Further, the Office of Residential Life responds to and manages crises in the House system and works closely with HUPD and the Secretary of the Administrative Board related to these matters. On the operations side, the Office oversees the appropriate usage of residential space, data management and related billing for undergraduates, and the finances of the Freshman Dean's Office and the 13 Houses. The Office oversees and coordinates all orientation and professional development for over 350 employees including Resident Deans, House Administrators, Assistants to the Resident Dean, Freshman Proctors and Resident Tutors. In addition the Office coordinates annual programs for parents, including the Parent's Association, and House Committees.
